Day 47. 5/16/2014.

Weight: 7lbs. 3.9oz.

Plan for the day: Eat, Sleep, and Grow.

Good Morning Puppy!

This morning, you had your scheduled VCUG (Voiding Cystourethrogram), a procedure to watch your urethra and urinary bladder while you urinate (voids).  Basically, this is to make sure your shishi travels the right way (down and out).  They had to put a catheter in (ouchie), but everything was normal and all is well! The reason you had this procedure is because when you were sick a couple weeks ago, there were signs you had a UTI and this was a follow up and just to make sure everything is normal.

And, for the first time, we made a huge stride with nursing you!  At our 12 o'clock Lactation appointment with Nurse Aunty Robyn, you took over half your feeding at the breast.  A whole 34 mLs!!!!!  We couldn't believe it when we did a pre- and post- weight check on the scale!  You did it, Maverick!  It's only looking up from here!

And it only gets better!  Lola flew in with your big brother Graham this afternoon and Mommy met them for dinner!

Your sweet brother hugged Mommy so tight and didn't want to let go.  And he gave me the sweetest kisses too.

Late in the evening, Mommy went to pick up Daddy again from the airport!

That light is getting much brighter, Maverick.  I can feel the warmth coming from that light and boy, does it feel good. We are almost there.  We're almost at the end of the tunnel.  Get some rest because we're all coming tomorrow!  XOXO!
